Our local nonprofit partners have been through a lot this past year. Our domestic violence shelters have seen an increase in families needing their services, our food bank has surpassed the amount of food given out in many years, and our afterschool programs stepped up during the COVID-19 crisis to provide extra care for the children who were out of school. We were able to help fund many of these programs and many had help from state and federal grants.

However, now is the time to step up and support our agencies. Many will go without fundraisers again this year and we don’t want them depending on the government for support.

We, as a community, as a United Way, need to help keep their doors open.

Without your help, we will not meet our campaign goal of $1.25 million for our nonprofit partners.

We know that the best ideas will come from our nonprofit partners, those who are closest to the problems, they have the experience to create real solutions. We recognize that no single organization is responsible for “fixing” any major social problem in our community. At United Way, we are in a unique position to be the convener, bringing our community together to address social issues can only be solved by collaboration, collective impact, and cross-sector communication.

Through our annual campaign we can make sure vetted organizations have the tools, resources, and expertise to create lasting, positive change in our community.

We hope that we can count on you to join us in making a difference with your contribution.
