JOHNSON CITY, TN – The ETSU vs. Chattanooga Men’s Basketball game on Saturday, January 5th got some added excitement during halftime when Rick Van Hoever, Senior Vice President for Customer Service Group, Citi-Gray, Todd Bailey, Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs, Citi-Gray, Chris Chandley, Financial Analyst for Citi-Gray and Mark Sanders, Senior Operations Manager for Citi-Gray presented the United Way of Washington County, TN with a check for $280,000.00. Accepting the donation 2018 Campaign Chair, Gary McAllister and Kristan Ginnings, President & CEO, United Way of Washington County, TN.
“It was an honor and a privilege to present the United Way with this largest-ever contribution on behalf of the employees at Citi. It’s important to recognize that the majority of this donation comes from many employees giving their fair share. The employees at Citi recognize the good work done by United Way and understand that our community would be a very different place if the United Way was not able to help 35 programs that work every day to make our community a better place,” said Rick Van Hoever.
Gary McAllister, added, “As United Way Campaign Chair and an area resident, I am so grateful to Citi for their continued support and increasingly generous gifts to the United Way who, along with their partner programs, help so many of our friends and neighbors in need. With almost half of all Washington County residents having contact with a United Way supported program last year, this donation and others will help more people than ever before”.
