2024 grant review committee
ABOUT
Our Grant Review Committee is vital to the trust and loyalty that United Way has built in our community. Each year, United Way accepts grant applications from local nonprofits that support the health, education and/or financial stability of the people who live in our community. Our Grant Review Committee is responsible for not only reviewing the grants, but also meeting with the local nonprofit leaders to go even deeper into the gaps they fill and the people they serve.
Each volunteer is a part of a smaller team. Each team works through 4-6 applications and then spends a day together visiting each agency. Most will hear a short presentation about the agency and programming that the funding is being requested for, followed by a short Q&A and facility tour if time allows. After their visits, the volunteers take a holistic view of the applications together and will collectively make funding recommendations to the United Way Board of Directors.
We want to express our appreciation for the time and expertise that each Grant Review Committee Member brought to this year’s allocations process and the companies they work for who supported their involvement in giving back to the community in this way.
